Known as "TopFox", "The Blue Fox", "ToyFox" and even "Cannon, the Party Pony", this fox has been around since before the beginning of the fur movement back in the 1970s.
My interest in foxes goes back even further. At one point, I owned over 400 different fox books, over 250 pieces of original fox art (much of it commissioned by me), and several hundred fox tokens (toys, puzzles, figures, plush, etc). Other collecting interests have included comic books, original comic art, movie posters, 16mm film, 007, The Pink Panther, anime, Charlie Chan, Disneyana, animation art and other topics. Just a collector at heart... but have been sharing my collection with others for many years now via sales, auctions and gifts. (Wonder how many folks remember my "fox grab bag" at an early CF fox sig where I passed out fox items to everyone in the room!)
Have been a producer of animation since the 1980s. Titles include GARFIELD, AN AMERICAN TAIL, BOBBY'S WORLD, SPIDER-MAN, ANGRY BEAVERS, DEXTER'S LAB and others. I've written for various comics (like Bugs Bunny and Angry Beavers) and cartoons (Mighty Max and Dexter's Lab). Also wrote around a half dozen books on animation, as well as dozens of articles (even some for CF program books).
Have always loved conventions I went to CF-Zero, and all the rest through #10. Sometimes I was a dealer, sometimes a performer (performed one of the first masquerade routines - Madonna's "Hanky Panky" with Vicky Rabbit/cataroo), sometimes a video room programmer, and occasional editor of the program book. I appeared in costume at all but #0. I also attended the first Further Confusion, the first Conifur, the first ZonieCon and even the first San Diego Comic Con... not to mention dozens of furry parties from San Diego to Baycon. I Have been a guest at San Diego Comic Con, BayCon, Westercon, MiniCon and others (but, oddly, never at a furrycon). Even ran several conventions, both regional (including the first comic con in Orange County) and national.
Was one of the first fursuiters. Originally in the "Red Fox" (or "Zorro Fox"). Perhaps best known as "The Blue Fox". For years was the only fursuiter with professional experience, having been full time performer at Disneyland in the 1970s and later special events. Was married in costume, to Cataroo. Along with Cataroo, I created the first FurDance, the original dance event geared to fursuits.
