About me!- I am a British, semi-professional voice actor, who happens to also be a furry. I have quite a passion for the fandom, having been furry for nigh on ten years now, and love to merge the two best parts of my life!
- I do all kinds of voice work, including character acting, and narration. I have recorded audio books, and am presently recording a guided meditation/self-hypnosis recording. I also have experience of doing work for use an industrial setting, especially automated announcements.
- I'm 25 years old, so please bear that in mind when deciding whether or not to commission me. I can do most regional English accents, as well as a generic (so-called "BBC English"). Medium voices fit me best, though I can pull off medium-low and just about manage medium to high.
- I don't think I can sing. If you commission me to sing, you'll get my best effort, but you've been warned!
- When you commission me, you are buying time spent, not the length of the delivered article. You can maximise the amount of work you get as an end result by being specific in your request. For instance, if you want it to be read with a specific accent, slowly, and in conversational tone, and if you want me to start by reading the name of the work and your name, then tell me. If I am short on time, what you'll get will often be a first-run. If I have time to spare, I can go back and re-record bits I'm not happy with, and sometimes I can even send you a first performance for your comments.
Examples of my work
How much time should you buy?
- If your request is simple, the script straightforward and your direction clear and precise, I can generally perform and re-edit an A4 page of double-spaced 12 point Times New Roman text, without line breaks, within half an hour. To get a rough idea, copy everything you want me to say into an OOo Writer, MS Word, or similar document. Put it all on one line by taking out the returns, then convert it all to 12 point Courier or Courier New, and change the paragraph settings to Double line spacing. As a guide, allow 45 minutes per page.
- If your request is complicated, or you don't know exactly what you want from me, you'll need to allow longer. A project of up to 4 pages will take me about an extra half-hour to read through and record some samples, which can then be listened to by me and/or by you (your choice), to decide which is the best way to proceed.
- I should point out that for shorter commissions (up to 4 hours), I don't send out drafts, unless they're specifically requested - but be aware that compiling a draft takes time, time which I can't spend on recording! For longer commissions, or if I have spare time from your purchase, I can use the extra time to send you a draft.
- If you aren't sure, feel free to ask! I operate differently to most other furs on here, so I know it can be difficult to get a rough benchmark. If you're unsure about anything, ask me first.
Commissions - Terms and Conditions- I will lend my voice... You own your work, but I own mine. Any work that I produce as a result of your commission remains my property. However, I grant the commissioner the right to use it in any way he or she sees fit. This includes posting it on FurAffinity (but that's mostly redundant, as that's probably what I'll do anyway), placing the work in the public domain, selling it for profit, etc.
- ...to your work. You must have a work in mind for me to voice. This work must be owned by you, or you must have the legal authority to give this work to me for this purpose. I will NOT check. That's your responsibility. By bidding on this auction you're entering into a legal contract that you agree to these terms.
- I will not lend my voice to the following: Work that contains more than a minimal amount of swearing, work in a language other than English, work that is pornographic or sexual in nature, or work that goes against my ethical or moral views. If you commission me to perform any of these, you're breaking the terms and conditions - meaning that I keep your money, and you get nothing. If in doubt, ask me first!
- I will use all the time bought. If you buy four hours, I will work for four hours on your project, and no less. Of course, if you ask how long I will need, and it ends up taking longer than my estimate, that's entirely my mistake and I'll continue until the commission is done. If I have extra time I will, at my option: continue to re-record what I consider to be the worst lines, or submit a draft recording to you for you to decide what I should do next.
- Series commissions are welcome. I have done a two-part commission in the past. The rate you pay for the first portion of the series will continue to be applied for any future commissions in that series, as long as we agreed the commission might turn into a series, at the time. This is subject to agreement to these terms, and availability. It's worth noting that some VAs will charge you more and more for each episode, forcing you to pay through the nose or get a new voice for your character. I think that's pathetic, shameful, and I won't do it.
- Payment is required in full, in advance by Paypal (in Pounds Sterling, and since you are paying for my time, it should be sent as payment for Services, not goods) or by cheque. Cheques must be in pounds sterling, drawn on a UK bank, or they will be destroyed and you'll be asked to pay a different way. I will pay the cheque into my account and wait for it to clear before commencing work, which might take a week, or more.
- Your commission slot must be used by sending me a commission brief within two weeks of winning the auction. This period might be extended by discussion. I will attempt to make first contact if you have enough information in your FurBuy profile, but please don't let that stop you saying hi if you get to me first! If your commission brief is not sent within five days delivery of the final recording may run past the usual two-week period.
