FurBuy - Payment Guidelines
Notice: This page is now defunct and no longer applies to the current FurBuy system. All auctions are free as well as all add-ons and extras. This page is only stored for historical and archival purposes.

This document was designed to familiarize and inform users of the payment and charge system in place on FurBuy. Should you have any further questions, comments or concerns, please feel free to send mail to furbuy@furbuy.com and we will return your mail as soon as possible.

The Payment System

Since the auction software FurBuy is using expects fees associated with posting and final sale on auctions at this time, it is necessary to have a system of receiving, posting and deducting payments to and from your user account. Please note that FurBuy is now FREE to all users, but the payment system has not yet been fully quelled. Therefor, sellers will need to send mail requesting system credit (this is free, see below) in order to post and sell items. For more information on pricing as it pertains to posting and house sale fees, please refer to the Auction Fees page.

1. Only accounts with a positive balance will be allowed to post new auctions to the system.
2. Payments may be applied by administrators only, and originate from credits as described below.
3. Account balance will be charged on posting of new auctions based on the features provided by the user. If the account has insufficient funds for the amount of the posting, it will be denied.
4. Posting fees are a one-time, non-refundable charge for listing a new auction.
5. When an auction is closed with a winning bidder, the sale is commissioned by the rules in the Auction Fees page (linked above), and that amount charged to the seller's account balance. The house sale fee may put the account into a negative balance.
6. If an auction is closed without having been bid on, there will be no sale fee applied. Rather the user may repost that auction (within 60 days of it's original close time) repeatedly until it is successfully ended with a winning bid.
7. The user is obligated to pay off a negative balance even if they do not wish to list more auctions on the system.
8. When a new payment is recieved, it shall be applied to any existing negative balance first, the excess moving the account to a positive balance.
9. Users may review their account balance and payment/charge history by logging into their My Account page and clicking on the "Balance" tab.
10. Payments should optimally be made in $5 increments, though other amounts are most certainly accepted.

Making Payments (Requesting Credit)

At FurBuy we are dedicated to making payment as easy as possible for sellers on our system. At present our software requires payments to be made to user accounts before the user may list auctions for sale. We will be correcting this issue over time, and we will make sure everyone is notified when credit will no longer need to be given by request. For the time being, in order to receive system credit, please e-mail an administrator at furbuy@furbuy.com requesting credit to be added to your account. We will only accept requests for up to $20 of credit at once at this time.
