BASICS
I will create and paint a design of your personal character, favorite animal(s), or just about any other theme (furry or not) painted in lightfast, brilliant, blacklight-reactive paints on sturdy illustration board or canvas/wood. I use Wildfire UV acrylic paints, the professional standard in UV effects and theatrical design. I compliment these with regular (non-UV) acrylics to create works of art that are as attractive under regular light as they are under blacklight.
LADDER OPTIONS:
$200-$399 - simple design, similar to the phoenix or green snake pictured above; up to 13"x18"
$400-$599 - more complex design or more colors, similar to the red and blue snake pictured above; up to 18"x24"
$600+ - more details, airbrushing, or extra colors available, similar to the tentacles, flames, wings and garden of eden examples. will be painted on canvas or wood, up to 20"x30".
Generally speaking, the higher the bid, the more detail and different colors I am willing to work with. The basic option is spot colors with black outlines. More complicated options ($600+) resemble the airbrushed backpieces; this will be on canvas, not skin, but the result is similar and this gives you an idea of my capability with the medium.
I have the following UV colors available:
-Deep Blue
-Deep Violet
-Purple
-Hot Pink
-Red
-Orange
-Deep Yellow
-Yellow Green
-Aqua
-Optical White
-Glow In The Dark (aqua under UV)
...and can mix them for pretty much any color or light effect you can think of!
TIMEFRAME
I expect it to take a minimum of about a month, and a maximum of about four months to complete this commission. However, it may take more or less time depending on the availability of materials, your speed of communication with me, etc. I will create a preliminary sketch and send it to you for any revisions before I begin the final painting process.
PAYMENT
If the final bid is $500 or less, I expect payment in full within 7 days of the auction's close. I accept (and prefer!) PayPal, but can also accept Money Orders (sorry, no personal checks). If the final bid is more than $500, you have the option of paying half up front, and half upon finalization of the sketch (BEFORE painting begins). Should I be unable to complete the painting for any reason, I will refund your payments in full.
SHIPPING
Buyer pays shipping; costs will vary depending on the size, shape and weight of the finished painting. I'm guessing it will be in the $10-$20 range, however, for most works within the sizes I've laid out above.
SUBJECT MATTER
I will draw most subject matter, with some exceptions. I will NOT draw: excessive blood/gore/violence, copyrighted characters without the permission of the copyright holder, or children in sexual situations. I reserve the right to refuse any commission for any reason, so please ask before bidding if you're unsure whether or not I will draw your idea.
RIGHTS
Reproduction rights are NOT included with this commission. I reserve the right to reproduce (through copies, scans, or photos) and/or distribute the final work as I see fit. However, due to the non-reproducing luminance of blacklight-reactive paints, it's unlikely I will be making any prints of this commission. This is your chance to get a fairly exclusive original work of art that cannot easily be duplicated!
